In February 2009, Land Records became officialy available online. Citizens can now research these records from the comfort of their homes or offices. These records can be printed with a user name and pasword upon request.
New Indexing System
Expedites the processing private records such as Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates to authorized personnel, while providing a secure backup for sensitive material with little to no waiting time. This is an amazing upgrade as all vital documents were hand typed prior to this system upgrade.
Celebration
October 20, 2010. The County Clerk's Office will celebrate the 2nd anniversary of our state of the art system, which provides individuals instant access to public records such a Deeds, Deed of Trusts, Assigments, Power of Attorneys, Loan Modifications, etc. From the time the system came online in 2008, more than 83,745 records have been entered into the system
Since the beginning of her term as a County Clerk, Jennifer Maghan has upgraded the equipment and furnishings in the Clerk's Office to provide a better working environment for employees and a greater comfort for people conducting business in our offices.
Superior Customer Service
December 2005 - The County Clerk's Office becomes a multi-lingual office, offering service to Spanish speaking customers.
Also, Jefferson County Clerk, Jennifer S. Maghan, speaks Korean, for citizens in need of this special service.
The Automark Voting System was appoved on October 13, 2005, as a result of recommendations from the Election Advisory Committee. This Commitee was formed in January 2005 at the request of the County Clerk, Jennifer S. Maghan. Members of the Committee, John Maxey and Paul Burke, were present to explain and comment on the new voting system.
Today, elections runs seamlessly, due to changes that were implemented using the findings of the Election Advisory Committee. LO-DDp340
February 2005: In order to provide greater transparency and integrity in the process of recordation of documents, the County Clerk's
Office implemented a new Time/Date clock system to insure all documents (Deeds, Deeds of Trusts, Assignments, Liens, Judgements, Releases, Power of Attorneys, Substitution of Trustees, etc.) are recorded in the order they are received.
January 2005: Jefferson County Clerk, Jennifer Maghan, implemented a new email system in the Clerk's Office to enhance communication with citizens.
